WHEN DATA ISN'T ENOUGH PROOF
Picture

When it comes to raising money to take an idea off the paper and into reality, it is still an unfortunate reality that women and minorities get the tiny end of the stick.

In spite of data, even as far back as 2010, constantly showing that investors receive a higher return of investment (ROI) in women founded and run businesses, the reality of investment practices doesn't match. Succes of women-led tech businesses isn't an exception to the rule. In fact, the proof should be enough to start making practice match the data. What's actually incredible is that these businesses reach profit quicker in many cases, which is a rarity in the existing tech world.

In 2017, Katrina Lake, Founder and CEO of Stitch Fix proved again the benefits of investing in female-founded and run businesses.

Just a few days ago, Melanie Perkins, the Founder and CEO of Canva, has recently been valued at $1 billion, after the latest funding round.

Watch: Everyone was talking about Oprah's speech at the Golden Globes. And of course who could have missed Natalie Portman.

Read: Crytocurrency, Bitcoin, blockchains, you kind of get it but maybe not entirely. Whether curious or not, it doesn't hurt to have a basic understanding.

Listen: The honesty shared in this interview is worth a listen.
