SERIES
Have you met...
the woman behind the international panel series ‘The Power of Quitting’? Having only launched the series less than a year ago, Naomi Walkland (née Oluleye) has already gathered a community of thousands.
Naomi is a true inspiration through her belief in supporting and empowering people to follow their interests and ideas. Her own career path is a perfect example. |
Having started her career working with big-name global firms where she was exposed to incredible professional experiences, she then ventured into creating her own brand marketing consultancy, and from there has now become the Senior Marketing Manager of International Communications (EMEA) at Bumble. She is a great role model for how you can design your career through positive ‘quitting’ and that you can pursue your interests and design your career in your own way.
And it is from Naomi’s own experience in the power of quitting as a positive, forward path to designing your own career, that has spilt into her passion in empowering others to build careers with a sense of purpose. She does this by putting together a stellar panel of influential women across the world and making them visible through her international sell-out series ‘The Power of Quitting’.
The panels explore how smart women pivot, embrace change, and lean into their strengths to build a successful career with a sense of purpose and thus removing the stigma that is so often (and perhaps wrongly) associated with quitting. The conversations demonstrate that quitting is part of the professional development process of getting ahead and closer in designing a career doing work you love and believe in, including whether it's changing industries, companies or going out on your own. Her CombackGirl interview is a great source of inspiration.
