HAVE YOU MET…

the multifaceted body-mind practitioner bringing the DeRose Method to Berlin? Nicole Pieper has been practicing the DeRose Method for almost a decade. Within the last four years she has qualified as an instructor and is now teaching this incredible method in the German capital.

One could say that she first became aware of the significance of her body when training to become a ballet dancer. Yet it was psychology that she ended up studying due to her inherent desire to work with people and her curiosity about the nature of the human mind and all that drives us.

When her university studies left her with more questions than answers, she became inspired to find ways of working that integrally connected the body and mind.
Over the years she pursued this interest by qualifying first as a practitioner of the Grinberg Method and then the Pantarei Approach. These studies allowed her to work with clients through a form of somatic coaching. Her main focus being on stress management and working with people who struggle with the physical and emotional impact of stress and tension.
Nowadays, Nicole’s work is largely influenced by her practice in the DeRose Method, which aims to increase our quality of life and enhance our performance.

It does this through combining physical techniques of strength, flexibility, breathing, relaxation and meditation, with high-performance lifestyle concepts, such as cultivating good human relations, better managing conflict and taking care of our nutrition.

Her goal is to assist and support her clients and students in their journey to unfold and transform themselves to reach high levels of self-dependence; able to reach their aims and get the most out of their options in life. She currently does this through group classes, workshops and one-to-one somatic coaching sessions.

Nicole has given the WOM community an opportunity to experience the DeRose Method within the context of Stress Management. If you missed it, keep an eye on the WOM Newsletter for another collaboration to offer the community more sessions.

What is additionally significant to know about the DeRose Method is that all instructors are required to revalidate their skills every year, a condition that puts them at a high standard of practice and teaching.
